About Jessica

Jessica was born an only child in Garland, Texas. She has always had a love for children and originally aspired to become an elementary school teacher.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2005. She practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for six years before completing her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2011. Jessica is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) and recipient of DFW Child Mom Approved Doctor in both 2015 and 2020.

Jessica’s passion for wellness began with her own journey back to health after experiencing a very sick childhood plagued with chronic ear infections, leaky gut, and repeated antibiotic use. She developed signs of autoimmune disease in early adulthood but has been able to reverse many of her health aliments through the use of alternative medicine and dietary modifications. Her passion is finding the root cause, not just treating the symptoms.

Jessica began practicing integrative pediatrics in 2011 at Healthy Kids Pediatrics. She then moved to Shine Pediatrics in 2014 and practiced at Family Health and Wellness of Plano from 2018 to 2020. She has since partnered with Michelle Rowton James to provide quality, intimate, client care at Wonderfully Made Wellness Sanctuary in McKinney.

Jessica’s hobbies are cooking, outdoor activities, going to the gym, and spending quality time with her family.
